3rdアルバム"In Between Dreams"(2005年)から、3曲目"Banana Pancakes"の歌詞を和訳します。

サーファーの彼らしい、海を思い浮かべてしまうようなゆったりした曲調です。
休日の朝にこれほど合う音楽ってなかなか無いです。

曲調に負けないくらい、歌詞もゆったりしています。
ただし"サーフィンしよう！"ではなく、"ひきこもり万歳！"な歌詞です。

お家で君と過ごす時間が、僕の世界の全て。

。。。インドア派は、首がもげるほどうなずきたくなる歌詞ではないでしょうか。
私もインドアなので、休日はひきこもりを満喫しがちですが、そんな過ごし方を肯定されたように感じて嬉しくなりました。

ただ、この歌詞に忠実に、
"平日も週末みたいに過ごそうよ～あとでバナナパンケーキ焼くからさ～お寝坊万歳～"
とはできないのが悲しいところ。
ハワイに住みたいです。
