歌詞の解説
心の繋がりでなく、名声や財産を目当てにされてしまう悲しみを歌っています。サム・スミス自身の実経験でしょう。君が望むなら、と思ってお金をかけてあげたのに、君はダイヤモンドと一緒に去って行く。
君は財産目当てだったんだね。最初から何となく分かっていたよ。
それでも僕は心から君が好きだった。僕だけが傷付くんだね。
そんな歌詞です。何ともやるせない失恋です。
